Check Out What Cars Wayne Rooney Has In His Garage
Wayne Rooney was the star player of Manchester United, but 2017 saw the return to his roots when he transferred back to Everton. He has been England Captain and will likely continue to have plenty of success in the coming years. Keeping that all in mind, it is time to take a peek at what is parked in his garage.
Premiership footballers are usually massive car fans (what else are they to spend their massive paychecks on?) and Rooney is no different. He has a varied collection of cars, although it appears he is a big fan of Overfinch Range Rover.
The BMW I8 is BMW’s answer to the growing demand of hybrid supercars. All electric supercars are not there yet, but greener options are in demand. This resulted in the hybrid I8.
It is powered by a 1.5-litre, turbocharged, three cylinder petrol engine, producing 228 bhp. Now, that doesn’t sound like a lot of power for a supercar, but it also has a small 13 bhp electric motor to start the engine and an additional 129 bhp electric motor that powers the front wheels. This brings the total power of the I8 to 357 bhp, which sounds much more like it. It has a limited top speed of 155 mph and dashes from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
The interior of the I8 is likely to be the model of future BMW models thanks to its futuristic design. The dashboard is focused on the driver for easy use whilst driving with plenty of luxury and comfort to enjoy, boasting to scissor doors to give it that extra special design.
Overfinch Range Rover
The normal Range Rover was not enough for Rooney. He prefers the Overfinch edition of the Range Rover so much so that he has had multiple models. Whilst they don’t touch the mechanics and performance of the car, Overfinch does play with the looks, both inside and out.
On the exterior, Overfinch produces hand-laid carbon fibre bodywork, which is stronger and more durable than the regular body. This same bodywork can be tailored to allow different carbon fibre and paint finishes, which allows you to create an individual design for you. Every Overfinch Range Rover gets the brands signature carbon fibre grille that enhances the already imposing stance of the car, which can either have a bright or chrome finisher attached.
On the inside, the Range Rover was already luxurious and Overfinch adds a whole other layer on top. Overfinch work with top quality leather and veneers to produce bespoke interiors for you. There are a variety of colours available and the seat designs are split between Solitaire and Mercury. It also has an automated sliding floor space for the boot, making it easier to unload anything you may have stored there.
Bentley Continental GT
A Premiership footballer without a Bentley Continental GT would be sacrilege. So, it is good that Rooney has continued the trend brilliantly. It is one of the best grand tourers on the road, meaning it is perfect when Rooney and other players are driving from their mansions to their training grounds.
The likely engine in Rooney’s Continental GT if he purchased it recently will be a 4.0-litre V8 engine developing 507 bhp and paired with an automatic gearbox. It surges from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and hits a top speed of 188 mph.
As we have already learned from the Overfinch, Rooney loves luxury and that is exactly what he gets inside the Bentley. Nothing sticks out as low quality in the Bentley. Everything is first rate with plush seats, spacious legroom and bountiful amounts of opulence.
Aston Martin V12 Vanquish
Rooney actually owned the 2001-2005 model, however, if he fancies a replacement there is another V12 Vanquish on sale now. There is a 5.9-litre V12 engine under the Vanquish’s long bonnet, which produces 568 bhp. Vanquish rushes from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed above the 200 mph barrier. It is known as the British equivalent to a Ferrari.
Aston Martin delivers British quality when it comes to their own interiors, which is why you are surrounded by extravagance and lavishness when you first slide into the cabin. There is little missing and plenty to enjoy in this brilliant and brutal supercar.
Wayne Rooney would do well to replace his original Vanquish with this new model.
