New In-Stock: BMW M4 Review
Everyone knows about the world-famous BMW M3. For years, it has been deemed one of the best, if not the best, compact sports saloon on the market. Well now there is a coupe version in the form of the BMW M4 and we have one in-stock. The M3 is known for its mad, fun driving ability and that has seamlessly passed over to the M4. If you are looking for an exciting BMW for sale, then the M4 model we have in stock is worth considering.
BMW M4’s engine
With this sport coupe, you still have a variety of engines that offer you slight differences in speed and fuel efficiency. The cheapest M4 on the market has a 3.0-litre six-speed turbocharged petrol engine that develops an impressive 431 bhp. It comes with an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph and sprints from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds so you are entering seriously quick territory with this car. Fuel efficiency isn’t the best with this car as you can imagine. It has a combined fuel economy of 32.1 mpg, an extra-urban fuel economy of 24 mpg and an urban fuel economy of 41 mpg.
The fastest M4 model is also the greenest. It has the same 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, but this one squeezes out 450 bhp. It has the same electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph, but it is quicker from 0-60 mph in 4 seconds flat. Its fuel efficiency is only slightly better than the cheapest model. It has a combined fuel economy of 34 mpg, an urban fuel economy of 25 mpg and an extra-urban fuel economy of 42 mpg. Then again if you are tempted by this car, then fuel efficiency isn’t high on your list of priorities.
As you might expect, inside the M4 you get a well-laid out, well-built cabin with a dashboard angled towards you when you are driving. It comes with a large, well-detailed 8.8-inch infotainment screen that controls the BMW’s Professional Multimedia system and iDrive system.
With regards to space, whilst being a sports coupe, you get plenty of space for four people. The legroom is sufficient in both the front and the back, however, with the sloping roof, the headroom in the rear does decrease. Storage in the M4 is excellent thanks to the many cubby holes available. The door bins are large and spacious and the glovebox is a decent size as well. When you open the boot, you will be happy to find a boot capacity of 445-litres. This makes the M4 a very practical sports coupe that you can use every day with ease.
M4’s Drive & Performance
With the M4 you have a choice of a manual gearbox or a duel-clutch seven-speed automatic gearbox. Both offer you smooth shifting, so no need to worry about a lack of performance. The M4 handles well in the corners with the exception to hitting very wet, slippery corners at speed. You might find it slightly wobbly if that happens. Overall, however, the M4 is very smooth, ensuring you are comfortable and supported as you cruise along. You can’t feel the bumps and it has minimal body roll.
You can have extra fun with the M4 with some sideways tyre-smoking actions on a track if you so fancied it. If you throw your M4 into one of the track corners and powerslide through it, you will have one of the most exhilarating feelings you’ve ever had from driving a car. This car has so much potential for fun, it would be a waste to lose the opportunity to own one.
